MAKLIK shirt (EN)

MAKLIK is the African term for ‘simplicity’. For me, this MAKLIK shirt translates the power of simplicity, but very carefully chosen simplicity. Simplicity in a knit, simplicity in a garment. It is a stylish shirt, with a classic and comfortable fit, suitable for any occasion. 

This MAKLIK shirt is knitted from top to bottom in the round on a circular knitting needle. Short rows and raglan increases are used to form the yoke. The sleeves are also knitted in the round.

The pattern is designed to be approx. 6 - 7 cm (2¼ - 2¾ inches) larger in circumference than your bust circumference (positive ease).

Gauge 
10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) = 25 stitches x 34 rows in stockinette stitch on 3 mm (US2.5) needles, after washing and drying flat
