QUADRATA jacket (EN)

QUADRATA is the Italian word for ‘square’, a name that perfectly fits the design of this jacket. The QUADRATA jacket is an oversized kimono-style cardigan that perfectly combines comfort and style. You can really wear it over everything. On a chilly morning, over your pajamas or jogging, but alsof as a dressy cardigan for a night out. Lovely for relaxing at home, but also ideal for going out. The playful square pattern gives the jacket a unique look, making it easy to combine with other pieces in your closet.

The jacket is knitted from top to bottom. First, the yoke along the back is knitted back and forth. Then each shoulder is knit separately, again back and forth. Later, the shoulders and back yoke are joined together to form the body. This body is then knitted completely back and forth. The sleeves are later knitted in the round, after picking up stitches around the armholes. At the end, the collar is knit, after stitches are picked up along both front edges and neck.

The jacket is knitted entirely in a stitch pattern consisting of 2 colors: a main color and a contrast color. This color is knitted by using the ‘mosaic knitting technique’. This means you knit with only 1 yarn/color per round each time.

Gauge
20 stitches x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stitch pattern on 4.5 mm (US7) needles, after washing and then let dry flat
